Here at Gulf Coast Youth Soccer Academy we strive to mentor our players in order to develop their skills in a fun environment.
Explore what we offer
U5- U8 Rec Division
This is our Under 5- Under 8 division where beginner level players will be involved in medium to large group. This will develop their skills in a fun, upbeat environment. Practices will be 1 hour 15 minutes and will end in a small game in between players
U9-U13 Rec Division
This is our Under 9- Under 13 division where beginner level player will be involved in medium to large group. This will develop their skills in a fun, upbeat environment. Practices will be 1 hour 15 minutes and will end in a small game in between players.
Advanced Personal Trainings
Smaller more personal trainings ( 1 on 1 or up to 10 player groups) for our intermediate to advanced players looking to really grow as a player. Here we will focus more on specific skills and improve technique.

Who am I?
My name is Matias Gonzalez. I was born and raised in New York City, where my passion for soccer started early. My parents are from Uruguay and Peru which has shaped my style of playing to this day. Growing up, I trained and competed at a high level, eventually earning a spot with the New York Red Bulls youth system, which played a major role in shaping my development, discipline, and competitive mindset.
My hard work on the field led to multiple Division 1 college interest, and I was set on continuing my soccer journey at the highest collegiate level. But after tearing my ACL, my path took an unexpected turn. It was a difficult setback, but it pushed me to rebuild stronger, physically and mentally.
I chose to continue my education and athletic career at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), where I’ve focused on growth, resilience, and staying involved in the game I love. Today, I’m blessed to be apart of the Tampa Bay Rowdies Developmental Team, continuing to compete, improve, and chase the next level of my soccer career.
